No. Uploaded files are processed in your browser session and are not saved to any server. When your session ends, the data is gone. If you want to keep your work, use the Save Session or Save Rules feature to download a JSON file to your own device.

Yes. Save your rules as a “Rules Only” file, then upload new data and reload the rules. The rules reference column names, not specific data values, so they work with any dataset that has the same column structure. This is how schools reuse classroom placement rules each year with a new student list.

Individual is one account for one person. Team gives you up to 5 accounts under a single subscription, plus priority support and an onboarding walkthrough for your first allocation. Team is designed for organisations where multiple people need to run or review allocations — school admin teams, sports club committees, HR departments.

There is no hard limit. The tool routinely handles 700+ items across 28+ groups. For very large or complex problems (500+ items with many constraints), increase the solver timeout in the Options tab.

The tool tells you exactly which constraints conflict, so you know what to relax. Common causes are capacity mismatches, contradictory pins, or too many hard constraints. The user guide includes a full troubleshooting section.
